✨"What is the Asalha Puja Day?"✨
🌻Asalha Puja Day is the day that the Holy Triple Gem became complete.
It was on the full moon day of the eighth lunar months.
✨After the Lord Buddha attained enlightenment on the full moon of Visakha, he went into a forest named "Isip-pa-ta-na-ma-ruka-ta-ya-wan", the place where five ascetics called "Pancavaggi" lived at that time.
Dhammachak kappavattana Sutta is the Discourse on Setting the Wheel of Dhamma in motion.
The first one is the head of the Five Ascetics, call "Kondanna"
He asked for ordination from The Lord Buddha.
And he became the first monk in Buddhism.
Because of this reason, this day is also known as "Sangha Day".
Finally, we can summarize the importance of this day, which are;
1. This is the day that the Buddha delivered the First Sermon.

Buddhists should go to the temple to offer alms, keep precepts, and meditate on Asalha Puja Day
As the importance of Asalha Puja Day, our forebears realized that when they wanted to study each subject well and understood it deeply, they had to know the core of that subject. For example, if they wanted to study advanced mathematics, they had to remember the multiplication table. Likewise, when they wanted to study Dhamma well, they had to study Dhammacakkappavattanasutta.
Our forebears understood this thing well, so when Asalha Puja Day arrived, they preferred to go to the temple and listened to Dhammacakkappavattanasutta to revise all Buddhist Dhamma in which they could understand and appreciate more.
Another aspect is whatever we do, for whether personal or public benefit, we must have the clear principle for the followers and that principle should correspond with the Dhamma principle of Buddhism. In addition, we should do it in practice until this good principle becomes our good habit which will make ourselves, our companies, and our nation thrive and be peaceful.
For Asalha Puja in this year, Buddhists should worship the Lord Buddha by offering alms and practicing Dhamma, especially Dhamma in the content of Dhammacakkappavattanasutta which is the Noble Eightfold Path
